Animal Bedding
Our Animal Bedding
The three most important factors to take into consideration when creating animal bedding are comfort, cleanliness and absorbency. Here at P.H. Winterton and Son, we understand this and therefore ensure that all of our habitat and bedding is of the highest quality to ensure that your animals are comfortable and happy in their environments. Whether you choose our sawdust or shavings, you can feel confident knowing that your animal’s well-being and happiness are in safe hands.
How to Get The Most Out Of Your Bedding
- Change the animal bedding regularly. This will make your animal’s habitat hygienic and safe to live in by preventing the multiplication and spread of bacteria in the shavings or sawdust that could lead to disease.
- Use kiln-dried products – Luckily for you, our sawdust and shavings are kiln-dried, which means they are free from dust and therefore prevent any possibly detrimental respiratory problems that can occur from the bedding not only in your animals but in yourself.
- Store any extra animal bedding in a clean and dry place. This will prevent it from becoming contaminated by bacteria and will help to ensure that the shavings and sawdust do not become damp and therefore ineffective for future use.
- If you are using a heat source, make certain to take the necessary safety precautions to prevent a fire. The products used for animal bedding are highly flammable and therefore warrant extra measures for the safety of yourself, your animals and your property.
